Intervention effect of home comprehensive nursing on elderly patients with COVID-19 infection in the community
Objective:To explore the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention based on home in elderly patients with COVID-19 infection in the community.Methods:Sixty patients who were referred from superior hospitals to outpatient department of the community health service center from January 2,to January 15,2023 for infusion and oxygen inhalation therapy were treated with comprehensive intervention at home.Finger oxygen saturation,psychological status,knowledge of disease treatment and rehabilitation were compared before and after intervention.Results:Before comprehensive intervention at home the mean value of blood oxygen saturation was(90.93±1.16)%,and after the intervention was(95.72±1.38)%,and the difference before and after was statistically significant(P<0.001).After intervention the scores of self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self-rating depression scale(SDS)in the patients were significantly lower than those before intervention,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).After intervention the awareness rate of disease treatment and rehabilitation knowledge was significantly higher than that before intervention,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion:Home comprehensive nursing intervention can improve the rehabilitation status,psychological state and awareness rate of disease treatment and rehabilitation knowledge of elderly patients with COVID-19 infection in the community,which is beneficial for the recovery of the patients.
