Effect of olanzapine combined with sulpiride in the treatment of glycolipid metabolism and cognitive function in patients with schizophrenia
Objective:To investigate the effect of olanzapine combined with sulfapride in the treatment of glycolipid metabolism and cognitive function in patients with schizophrenia. Methods:A total of 100 schizophrenic patients admitted to the hospital from December 2019 to August 2022 were collected, and according to the random number table method divided into an observation group and a control group with 50 cases each. The control group took olanzapine, the initial dose was 5 mg/time,once a day,and gradually increased to 15-20 mg/dose within 2 weeks thereafter, once a day,and the total treatment was 8 weeks. The observation group was treated with olanzapine combined with sulfapride, the initial dose was 100 mg/time,once a day,and gradually increased to 100-300 mg/dose within 2 weeks thereafter, once a day,and the total treatment was 8 weeks. The treatment effect at the end of the course and the changes of positive and negative symptom scale(PANSS)scores, cognitive function, and glycolipid metabolism indexes before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 96.00%(48/50)at the end of the course of treatment, which was higher than 82.00%(41/50)in the control group, and the difference between groups was statistically significant(P<0.05);the PANSS scores at the end of treatment in both groups were lower than those before treatment in the same group, and the observation group was lower than the control group.MMSE score was higher than that before treatment in the same group(P<0.05),and the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).At the end of treatment, the results of fasting blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin, triglycerides, total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol levels in both groups were higher than those before treatment in the same group, and the results of high density lipoprotein cholesterol levels were lower than those before treatment in the same group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:For schizophrenic patients, the treatment of olanzapine combined with sulfapiride has a good effect, which can improve the cognitive function of patients, and the effect on glycolipid metabolism is similar to that of olanzapine alone.
