Application of interactive group recreation activities in psychological intervention of newly admitted patients in geriatric nursing hospital
Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of interactive group recreational activities in psychological intervention of newly admitted patients in geriatric nursing hospitals.Methods:One hundred patients newly admitted to Zhongren Geriatric Nursing Hospital in Jinshan District of Shanghai from June 2022 to June 2023 were selected and the average age was(74.7±10.2)years.They were randomly divided into a control group and an intervention group with 50 cases each.Patients in both groups received standardized treatment for basic diseases,and nursing,and the intervention group developed the interactive group recreation activities organized by social workers on the basis of the control group.The data of Hamilton depression scale(HAMD),Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA)and sleep status self-rating scale(SRSS)before and after treatment were recorded in the two groups,and a comparative analysis was made.Results:At the time of admission,there was no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05);HAMD,HAMA and SRSS data in the control group after treatment were higher than those before treatment,with statistical significance(P<0.05);HAMD,HAMA and SRSS data in the intervention group after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment,with statistical significance(P<0.05).HAMD,HAMA and SRSS data in the intervention group were significantly lower than those in the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The mental,psychological and sleep change in the elderly patients when they first check into the nursing hospital.Interactive group recreational activities can effectively improve the anxiety,depression and the quality of sleep in the patients.
