Efficacy of cefuroxime sodium combined with non-invasive positive pressure ventilation in the treatment of patients with COPD combined with respiratory failure
Objective:To investigate the efficacy of cefuroxime sodium combined with non-invasive positive pressure ventilation(NIPPV)in the treatment of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)complicated with respiratory failure. Methods:One hundred cases of the patients were randomly divided into a control group(n=50)and an observation group(n=50).The control group was treated with NIPPV alone, and the observation group was treated with NIPPV combined with cefuroxime sodium. The arterial blood gas indexes, pulmonary function indexes, clinical treatment efficiency and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, compared with the control group, the observation group had higher A-aDO2,pH,PaO2 values, lower OI,PaCO2 values, higher FEV1/FVC and FEV1%pred.The total effective rate was higher(96.0%vs 72.0%)and the incidence of adverse reactions was lower(2.0%vs 18.0%)in the observation group than the control group. Conclusion:The combination therapy can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of the patients and their therapeutic effect and reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions.
