Case analysis of an elderly man with prostatic hyperplasia complicated by multiple-site infection
Objective:To analyze a case of prostatic hyperplasia complicated by urinary tract and pulmonary infection in an elderly male,and explore the determination of the diagnosis and treatment plan and the rationality of the medication with simultaneous multi-site infections.Methods:After admitting to the hospital,the patient manifested as elevated infection indicators and respiratory symptoms.The anti-infective regimen was determined based on the patient's condition,and the rationality of the combined use of anti-infective drugs was analyzed.Results:The anti-infective regimen was jointly established by physician and clinical pharmacist,the pharmaceutical monitoring was carried out by pharmacist,the patient's condition was gradually improved.Conclusion:This case illustrates that physician and pharmacist cooperation is necessary in the treatment of infectious diseases for adjusting the treatment plan and protecting the health of patients.
