Analysis of cognitive status and the influencing factors of cervical cancer screening among female residents in Fengxian District
Objective:To investigate the cognitive status of cervical cancer screening among female residents in Fengxian District,Shanghai,and analyze the influencing factors of the cognitive status.Methods:From April to June 2023,a questionnaire survey was conducted using a simple random sampling method to select 1 080 female residents who participated in the free screening of cervical cancer at the Central Hospital of Fengxian District,Shanghai,the questionnaire content included general information about female residents in Fengxian District and the cognition of cervical cancer and its screening related contents.Results:The mean score of cognition of cervical cancer and its screening-related contents in 1 080 female residents of Fengxian District was(4.88±3.70)score,including 579(53.6% )in the low-cognition group and 501(46.4% )in the high-cognition group.The results of binary logistic regression analysis showed that age,occupation,education,and access to cervical cancer-related knowledge were statistically significant influence factors on the current status of cervical cancer screening awareness among female residents in Fengxian District(P<0.05).Conclusion:The cognitive level of cervical cancer knowledge of female residents in Fengxian District is relatively low,it is recommended to focus on the elderly,farmers and workers,low-education,and female residents with less access to knowledge about cervical cancer to carry out targeted health education,and to strengthen the depth and breadth of knowledge about cervical cancer among female residents in Fengxian District through the form of multi-channel health education.
