Role of cluster nursing in the rehabilitation of patients with shoulder hand syndrome after stroke in high dependency unit
Objective:To explore the role of cluster nursing in the rehabilitation of patients with shoulder hand syndrome after stroke(SHSAS)in highly dependent unit(HDU).Methods:Fifty patients with SHSAS admitted to the hospital from August 2021 to January 2023 were collected and divided into a control group and an observation group with 25 cases each by the random number table method. The control group received routine rehabilitation care, and the observation group received cluster HDU rehabilitation care. Both groups were intervened for 4 weeks.Shoulder pain, hand swelling, clinical intervention effectiveness, upper limb function, and daily living ability were compared between two groups. Results:There were no statistically significant differences in shoulder pain, hand swelling, upper limb function, and daily living ability between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05);after intervention, the visual analogue scale(VAS)score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the swelling volume of the affected hand in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group(P<0.05);the effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 96% (24/25),which was higher than that in the control group 76% (19/25,P<0.05);after intervention, the score of the simplified upper limb motor function scale in the observation group was higher than that in the control group and the score of the ability of daily living scale was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Clustered HDU rehabilitation nursing can promote the recovery of upper limb function and enhance patients'daily living ability.
