Evaluation of the value of endoscopic ligation combined with somatostatin and omeprazole in the treatment of patients with liver cirrhosis and upper gastrointestinal bleeding
Objective:To explore the value of endoscopic ligation combined with somatostatin and omeprazole in the treatment of patients with liver cirrhosis and upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Methods:Eighty patients with liver cirrhosis and upper gastrointestinal bleeding admitted to the hospital from January 2021 to March 2023,and the random number table method was selected to divide them into an observation group and a control group with 40 cases each. The control group received routine endoscopic ligation treatment, and the observation group received somatostatin and omeprazole on this basis. The treatment efficacy, hemostatic effect, and incidence of adverse reactions during the treatment, and changes in coagulation function indicators, inflammation indicators, and stress response indicators before and after treatment were compared between the two groups of the patients. Results:The total effective rate in the observation group was 97.50%(39/40),which was higher than 80.00%(32/40)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the total blood transfusion volume in the observation group was relatively less, and the hemostasis time and hospitalization time were relatively short, and the rate of rebleeding was relatively low comparing to those in the control group and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);after the treatment, the activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT)and prothrombin time(PT)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and Fibrinogen(FIB)content in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);serum hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)and cortisol(Cor)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions during the treatment period in the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:For patients with cirrhosis combined with upper gastrointestinal bleeding, endoscopic ligation combined with somatostatin and omeprazole treatment has significant efficacy, and good safety, which is worthy of clinical recommendation.
