Analysis of influencing factors of glycosylated hemoglobin in elderly people with type 2 diabetes in Lvxiang Community,Shanghai
Objective:To investigate the status and influencing factors of glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c)in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)over 60 years old in Lvxiang Community of Shanghai, and to provide data reference for the prevention and treatment of diabetes in the community. Methods:A complete data of 599 patients with T2DM who voluntarily participated in the 2023 health examination for elderly residents aged 60 and above in lvxiang Community of Shanghai was collected, among them there were 280 males, the average age was(70.10±6.22)years,there were 319 females, and the average age was(69.18±5.90)years.Current status of HbA1c control and the influence factors of elderly patients with T2DM were analyzed. Results:Control compliance rate of HbA1c in the elderly patients with T2DM was 22.54% .Univariate analysis showed that the age,HDL-C,CREA and UA in the HbA1c compliant group were higher than those in the non-compliant group, while the TG and FPG in the HbA1c compliant group were lower than those in the non-compliant group(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Correlation analysis showed that HbA1c level in patients with T2DM was negatively correlated with age,HDL-C,CREA and UA,and was positively correlated with TG and FPG(P<0.05).Multiple factors analysis showed that FPG(OR=6.339,95% CI:4.103-9.792)was a risk factor for elderly patients with T2DM(P<0.05),HDL-C(OR=0.335,95% CI:0.193-0.581)and UA(OR=0.996,95% CI:0.993-0.998)were protective factors for HbA1c control(P<0.05).Conclusion:It is necessary to strengthen the regular monitoring of patients with T2DM on HbA1c level and related influencing factors, carry out personalized and accurate intervention and guidance, and improve the rate of reaching the standard of blood sugar control.
