Observations on the therapeutic efficacy of Qingfei Touxie formula in the treatment of cough caused by Mycoplasma pneumonia(phlegm-heat obstructing lung syndrome)in children
Objective:To investigate the effect of Qingfei Touxie formula in the treatment of cough due to Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection(phlegm-heat obstructing lung syndrome)in children.Methods:Eighty-six of the children were randomly divided into an observation group(n=43)and a control group(n=43),the control group was treated with oral azithromycin and montelukast,and the observation group was additionally treated with Qingfei Touxie formula on this basis,and the treatment was lasted for 2 weeks.The clinical effects and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The time for clinical symptom relief,daytime and nighttime cough score,respiratory rate,serum inflammatory indexes were lower and peak expiratory flow rate,tidal volume,and total effective rate of treatment were higher in the observation group than the control group(all P<0.05).The difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:The adjuvant treatment of cough caused by Mycoplasma pneumonia(phlegm-heat obstructing lung syndrome)with Qingfei Touxie formula can effectively reduce cough symptoms,improve respiratory function and lung function of children,and has fewer adverse reactions.
