The efficacy of artificial arthroplasty and screw internal fixation in elderly patients with femoral neck fracture
Objective:To investigate the efficacy of artificial arthroplasty and screw internal fixation in elderly patients with femoral neck fracture. Methods:Sixty elderly patients with femoral neck fractures were randomly divided into a control group(n=30)and a study group(n=30).The control group was treated with hollow screw internal fixation, and the study group was treated with artificial joint replacement. The perioperative surgical indexes, therapeutic effects, hip joint recovery, quality of life, and the occurrence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results:In the study group, the duration of surgery and the volume of intraoperative bleeding were higher than those of the control group, and the bed time and hospitalisation time were shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment and the rate of excellent hip function of the study group were higher than those of the control group. At 3 months after surgery, the scores of all dimensions of GQOL-74 scale of the study group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05),and the incidence of total complications was lower than that of the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion:Compared with screw internal fixation, artificial joint arthroplasty for the treatment of elderly femoral neck fracture has better therapeutic effect and of benefit to the recovery of hip joint function and improvement of quality of life after surgery.
