Evaluation of drug-related problems in the clinical use of trimetazidine based on the Granada-Ⅱ classification system
Objective:To analyze the drug-related problems(DRPs)of trimetazidine in clinical application,and to promote the rational use of medication in the clinic.Methods:Four hundred and one inpatients who applied trimetazidine were randomly selected and the relevant information of patients was collected.The relevance of the application of trimetazidine was analyzed and evaluated using the Granada-Ⅱ classification method based on the drug instruction,pharmacopoeia regulations on the indications,contraindications,dosages and precautions of trimetazidine and relevant guidelines.Results:A total of 263 DRPs occurred in 401 patients,which were mainly manifested as DRP2(over-indication of use and inappropriate timing of administration)in 121 cases,DRP5(contraindication to use)in 63 cases,DRP6(daily cumulative dose exceeding the upper limit of the recommended dose in the specification)in 48 cases,and DRP4(insufficient daily cumulative dose)in 31 cases.Conclusion:The clinical application of trimetazidine is generally unreasonable,it is recommended that physicians should strictly grasp its indications and contraindications,adjust the dosage according to the patient's condition,and also can use information technology to improve the audit of the front medical prescription,limit the irrational use of medication and ensure the safety of patient's medication.
