Analysis of health status among elderly residents in Huajing Community of Xuhui District,Shanghai
Objective:To analyze the results of health examinations among elderly residents aged 65 and above in Huajing Community of Xuhui District,Shanghai in 2022,and provide a basis for developing health intervention measures.Methods:Health examination data of 3 026 elderly residents aged 65 and above in Huajing Community of Xuhui District,Shanghai were collected,among them there were 1 366 males,accounting for 45.14%,and the average age was(71.39±5.28)years and 1 660 females,accounting for 54.86%and the average age was(71.17±5.25)years.Abnormalities in BMI,blood pressure,blood glucose,total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)were analyzed.Results:In this physical examination,the detection rates of overweight and obesity were 43.29%and 16.23%,respectively.The abnormal BMI rate in males was higher than that in females,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01);the pulse pressure difference in females was significantly higher than that in males(70 mmHg vs 59.66 mmHg,P<0.001);the abnormal rates of TC,TG,HDL-C and LDL-C in females were higher than those in males(27.77%vs 10.98%,34.16%vs 30.75%,14.22%vs 8.71%,and 43.25%vs 33.60%,P<0.05).The abnormal rate of fasting blood sugar was 39.92%.Conclusion:The physical health conditions of elderly residents in different age groups and genders in the community are different,which point out that targeted interventions for different risk factors should be implemented for different populations in health education to achieve the best effect of health intervention.
