Analysis of epidemiological features of severe mental disorders registered in Fengxian District in 2022
Objective:To analyze the basic characteristics of patients with severe mental disorders registered in Fengxian District,Shanghai,and to provide a basis for further prevention and treatment of severe mental disorders.Methods:The information of all registered patients with severe mental disorders who were included in the Shanghai Psychiatric Prevention Network System before December 31,2022 was selected and analyzed descriptively.Results:As of December 31,2022,the reported prevalence rate was 3.98 ‰.Among them,the report prevalence rates were 3.32‰ and 4.78‰ in the males and females,respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the severe mental disorder patients,43.27%were age≥60 years old;the education level of junior high school or below accounted for 78.23%;the main occupations were farmers and unemployed,accounting for 60.91%.Patients having the poor economic status accounted for 29.86%.Patients had the family history of mental disease,accounting for 9.8%;and schizophrenia accounted for 63.17%.Conclusion:The report prevalence rate of patients with severe mental disorders in Fengxian District is lower than the average municipal level in 2020,and the reported prevalence rate of severe mental disorders in patients should be further improved to focus on the prevention and management of female population and schizophrenia.
