Chronic atrophic gastritis is a common clinic digestive system disease,and it is one of the precancerous lesions of gastric cancer,which is easy to repeat and difficult to be cured.Western medicine takes more symptomatic treatment measures,the curative effect is considerable but there are drawbacks.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)treatment for this disease,has a unique advantage and exact curative effect.This article comprehensively discusses the research progress of TCM treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis in recent years from the aspects of etiology,pathogenesis,syndrome differentiation,treatment with proprietary Chinese medicine and external treatment of TCM.
