Application value and cost-effectiveness of Weisu granule combined with Bifidobacterium triple viable capsules in elderly with functional dyspepsia
Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy and cost-effectiveness of Weisu granules combined with Bifidobacterium triple viable capsules in the treatment of elderly with functional dyspepsia(FD).Methods:Eighty FD patients were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group with 40 cases each. The control group were given Bifidobacterium triple viable capsules, while the observation group were given Bifidobacterium triple viable capsules combined with Weisu granules, and the clinical efficacy, symptom relief time, and gastrointestinal hormone levels[gastric motility(MTL),gastrin(GAS)]were compared between the two groups, and the cost-effectiveness of this treatment regimen was analyzed by cost-effectiveness analysis method. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate, serum MTL and GAS levels and Karnofsky performance status scores were higher, the TCM syndrome scores were lower, and the symptom relief time was shorter in the observation group than the control group(P<0.05).The cost-effectiveness ratio of patients was higher in the observation group than the control group. Conclusion:The efficacy of Weisu granules combined with Bifidobacterium triple viable capsules for the elderly with FD is significant, which can improve the gastrointestinal hormone level of patients.Although the therapeutic cost of the combination is higher than that of a single drug, the overall cost-effectiveness ratio is good, and it has a certain application value.
