Analysis of influencing factors related to excessive daytime sleepiness in patients with obstructive sleep apnea-hypoventilation syndrome and related nursing countermeasures
Objective:To explore the influencing factors related to excessive daytime sleepiness(EDS)in patients with obstructive sleep apnea-hypoventilation syndrome(OSAHS)and related nursing countermeasures.Methods:Ninety-six OSAHS patients admitted to the Department of Otolaryngology of Huadong Hospital from March 2023 to March 2024 were selected, and were divided into the non-drowsiness group and the drowsiness group according to the Epworth drowsiness scale. The tools such as general information questionnaires,Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)scale and others were used for comparative analyses between the two groups and binary logistic regression analyzed the related factors affecting drowsiness in OSASH patients.Results:Fifty-six of the 96 patients had varying degrees of drowsiness phenomenon, accounting for 58.3%.The differences were statistically significant in smoking history, drinking history,BMI,AHI,LSaO2,MSaO2,PSQI and other factors between the two groups(P<0.05),and binary logistic regression analysis showed that BMI,AHI,LSaO2 and PSQI scores were the main influence factors.Conclusion:BMI,AHI,LSaO2 and sleeping quality are the main factors affecting EDS of OSASH patients, nurses need to take corresponding nursing countermeasures for each factor, and the degree of EDS is reduced through improving patients'diet, exercise and sleep quality.
