Comparison of the Predation of Stethorus punctillum on Tetranychus turkestani and Tetranychus truncates
The predatory abilities of Stethorus punctillum adults on Tetranychus turkestani and Tetranychus truncates were studied in laboratory. The results showed that the functional responses of S. punctillum to T. lurkestani and T. truncates both followed the Holling Ⅱ type. Adults of S. punctillum displayed higher predation number on T. truncates than on T. turkestani. Predation rates were density-dependent. When Tetranychus turkestani and Tetranychus truncates coexisted,adults of S. punctillum had a positive preference for the latter.
