Effect of EPS content on properties of desulfurized gypsum based light composites
In order to study the effect of EPS particles on the properties of desulphurized gypsum matrix composites,EPS particles were added to desulphurized gypsum matrix materials by 50%~300%volume.The effects of EPS particle content on the properties of the composites were analyzed from the aspects of working properties, physical properties, durability and mechanical properties, and the uniaxial stress-strain relationship was fitted. The results showed that when the content of EPS particle increased gradually, the material apparent density, thermal conductivity, compressive strength, bending strength and other indexes show a decreasing trend, while the softening coefficient show a fluctuating trend, all of which were greater than 0.80 except for the 300%group.When the volume content of EPS particles was 200%,the overall performance of the material was the best.At this time, the material density was 972.8 kg·m-3,the thermal conductivity was 0.175 1 W·(m·K)-1,the softening coefficient was 0.932,and the compressive and folding strength were 4.34 and 1.33 MPa,respectively. The fitted uniaxial stress-strain expression is in good agreement with the experimental results. The results of this paper can provide some reference for the research and application of light weight composite materials based on desulfurization gypsum.
