In order to improve the low-effect feed composition-Pennisetum purpureum (P. p.) supplymented with concentrated feed used in Guangxi at present,a kind of good-quality leguminocea forage-Tephrosia candida DC. were introduced and its feedingvalue was determined. 0％ ,25％,50％ ,75％ and 100％ of Tephrosia candida DC. served with 100％, 75％, 50％ ,25％ and 0％ of Pennisetum purpureum (P. p.) were fed to 60 rabbits as green fodder for 90 days to study the intake, daily weight gain, slaughter performance and economic benefit of rabbits. The results showed,the crude protein percentage of Tephrosia candida DC. in initial bloom stage is 18.29％ which are better than other forages grown in southern China;rabbits feeding with 100％ Tephrosia candida DC. could saving 28.75％ of green fodder and its daily weight gain reached (17.47±1.40) g/per rabbit;as to test groups,the best one is B,because its platability is the best;its daily weight gain is just lower than D group, (15.61±l.41) g/per rabbit;its slaughtering rate is the highest,56.38％ ;its economic benefit is the highest, 1.87 times than that of the control group. In conclusion,Tephrosia candida DC. have not only high nutritive value but also good feeding effect, so it is approprate to be applied in production.
