Effects of ligustrum lucidum in diet on growth performance and intestinal development of Wanxi goose
This experiment was conducted to study the effects of ligustrum lucidum on the growth per?formance and the intestinal development of 0~4 weeks Wanxi goose. One hundred and eighty one-day-old geese were allocated to 3 treatments with three replications of twenty geese each. Three groups were fed with basal diet (groupⅠ), and diets supplemented with ligustrum lucidum at the level of 0.5%(group Ⅱ), 1%(group Ⅲ). The diets were fed between 1~28 days of age. At the end of the experiment, four geese were chosen from each replication. The value of the length and weight of intestine was ob?served. The results showed that: the average daily gain(ADG) in groupⅡand Ⅲ was significantly high?er than that of control group(P<0.05). The average daily feed intake(ADFI) and feed to gain ratio(F/G) and the weight and relative weight of intestinal showed no significant difference between the geese in three groups(P>0.05);the proper addition of ligustrum lucidum in the diets of Wanxi goose was 0.5%.
