The objective of study was to evaluate the effects of replacement different levels of corn grain with sorghum grain on production performance and blood parameter in Jinnan beef cattle.Fourty-eight Jinnan beef catdes were assigned to four groups in a complete randomized design. The four treatments were control (basal diet),T1,T2 and T3 with sorghum grain replacing 33%,66% and 100% corn grain in basal diet. The results showed that dry matter intake was not affected by the replacement different levels of corn grain with sorghum grain (P>0.05).Average daily gain and feed conversion rate in T3 were significantly lower than that in control,T1 and T2 (P<0.05).By the end of the study, the concentrations of serum glucose in T2 and T3 were significantly lower than that in control and T1 (P<0.05).While blood concentrations of albumin, total protein, urine nitrogen and glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase in T2 and T3 were significantly higher than that in control and T1 (P<0.05).The benefit in T3 was significantly lower than that in other groups (P<0.05).In conclusion, sorghum grain could replace 66% corn grain in Jinnan cattle diet.
