Effect of growing rex dietary supplementation with chrysanthemum on the growth performance, carcass characteristics and economic performance
In order to study the effect of chrysanthemum on the growing rex,we choosed 56 rex rabbits which had similar weight and good health,divided into four groups randomly,fed with basal diet,basal diet added with 1％ chrysanthemum,basal diet added with 2％ chrysanthemum,basal diet added with 3％ chrysanthemum respectively.Analysed the growth performance,carcass characteristics and economic performance when the end of the study.The results showed:the average daily gain of each experimental group was 15.8％,31.8％,24.4％ higher than that of the control group respectively,significant difference (P＜0.05) and the average feed intake was 16.62％,20.3％,16.21％ higher than that of the control group respectively,the difference was significant too.The chrysanthemum had the effect on improving the meat color and had the trend to improve the muscle pH and muscle tenderness,but the different is not significant(P＞0.05);dieatry supplementation with chrysanthemum could enhance the economic performance.Conclusion:chrysanthmum not only have rich nutrient but also have drug efficacy,it can be used as the additive of growing rabbit.According to the growth performance,meat quality traits and economic factors,this study suggests that the most suitable addition level is 2％.
