Effects of Tea Polyphenols and Fishbone Dust Compound Formulation on Growth Performance,Digestion and Antioxidant Function of Cyprinus carpio FFRC
To evaluate the application of the broad-spectrum antivirus commercial product of"Xue Ting"preparation with active ingredients of green tea polyphenols and fishbone dust in practical culture, the ef-fects on growth, body composition, antioxidant properties and the tissue of digestive organs of juvenile Cyp-rinus carpio FFRC were examined.180 healthy, uniformly sized Cyprinus carpio FFRC(1.92±0.01)g were randomly divided into the control and experimental groups, with three replicates in each group. The control group was fed with commercial feed, while the experimental group was fed with commercial feed supple-mented with 0.8%of compound formulation under the circulating water system for 8 weeks. The results showed that the addition of compound formulation had no effect on the growth, morphology, body composi-tion and serum biochemical parameters of Cyprinus carpio FFRC(P>0.05)but it significantly increased in-testinal lipase activity and catalase activity in liver and serum of Cyprinus carpio FFRC(P<0.05).However,there was no effect on liver and serum SOD and MDA activities(P>0.05).Results showed a significant de-crease in intestinal muscularis thickness, villus height and a significant increase in villus width(P<0.05).There were no differences in the morphologi-cal structure of the liver between the two groups of Cyprinus carpio FFRC(P>0.05).The above results indicate that the compound formulation has no negative influence on the growth performance of Cyprinus carpio FFRC,and it can improve the digestion and antioxidant capacity of Cyprinus carpio FFRC and can be used as a potential feed addition.
