In this paper,the key standards for onion grading,pesticide residue and heavy metal residue of China,Vietnam and Codex Alimentarius Commission(CAC)are collected and compared,and the conclusion is drawn that China's onion grading standards are stricter than Vietnam's,and the standards for pesticide residue and heavy metal residue are strict in different aspects.Finally,it puts forward some suggestions,such as developing China's onion national standards and improve relevant systems based on domestic and foreign relevant standards,promoting the mutual recognition of Chinese and Vietnamese onion standards,and strengthening the research on technical trade measures and early warning,so as to effectively promote the onion standardization in China,cope with technical trade measures and promote Sino-Vietnamese onion trade.
