Interpretation of the Technical specification for quick install wire clips for overhead distribution lines
Quick installation clamp refers to a metal device that can be used to connect overhead power line wires and leads,as well as electrical pathways between leads,through a gun operated rod.At present,there is inconsistent understanding of the concept of quick installation clamps in the industry,and there is no relevant standard for the performance of quick installation clamps.In order to unify the definition of quick installation clamps for overhead distribution lines,improve product performance,and ensure product quality,a standard is develop based on the existing power hardware standards and considering the special characteristics of quick installation clamps to regulate their relevant performance.This paper provides an interpretation and analysis of the standard development principles,scope of application,main content structure,and main test verification of the Technical specification for quick install wire clamp for overhead distribution lines,aiming to provide reference for industry related technical personnel in the application of this standard during the testing process.
