Influence of matching different target response spectrum on fragility analysis and collapse resistance capacity of RC frame structures
Choosing the appropriate target response spectrum for the selection and adjustment of ground motion records are the basis for seismic fragility analysis.First,3 groups of ground motion records were selected based on different parameters of the conditional mean spectrum, and used spectrum matching method respectively to the design spectrum and conditional mean spectrum matching. Then, analyses of incremental dynamic analysis(IDA)were conducted on a 5-storey reinforced concrete frame under the aforementioned 9 groups of ground motion records.Engineering demand parameters(EDPs)such as maximum inter-story drift ratios(θmax)and maximum residual inter-story drift ratios(RIDRmax)were obtained. The bias indices to represent the spectral matching effect, seismic fragility analyses corresponding to different damage states and collapse margin ration(CMR)were conducted based on IDA results.Analytical results show that by using spectral matching, the dispersion of seismic fragility of structure is significantly reduced. When selection and spectrum-matched of ground motion records were the same target spectrum,Sa(T1,5%)values corresponding to different damage states and CMR were no obvious biases. When selection and spectrum-matched of ground motion records were the different target spectrum,Sa(T1,5%)values corresponding to different damage states and CMR may get different bias of the results.
