Objective To explore the effect of ornidazole mixture combined with one-time root canal filling on children with endodontic disease.Methods A total of 86 cases of children with pediatric endodontic disease admitted to Suining County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to July 2023 were con-veniently selected as the study subjects,and they were divided into the control group and the observation group,each with 43 cases,by using the method of random number table.The control group chose one-time root canal filling for treatment;the observation group applied ornidazole combination on the basis of the control group.The two groups were compared in terms of treatment effect,masticatory efficiency,occlusal force,inflammatory in-dexes,and complications rate.Results The total treatment effectiveness of the observation group(97.67%)was higher than that of the control group(86.05%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=3.888,P<0.05).The masticatory efficiency and bite force of the observation group were higher than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-a)and interleukin-6(IL-6)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The total complication rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of endodontics in children,the application of ornidazole composite and disposable root canal filling in a combined manner can improve the therapeutic effect,as well as improve the masticatory efficacy,occlusal force,and reduce the inflammatory reaction,with a high degree of safety.
