Objective Compared the effectiveness and detection rate of computed tomography(CT)and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)in the clinical diagnosis and the detection rate of acute ischemic stroke. Methods From December 2022 to December 2023,90 suspected patients with acute ischemic stroke were se-lected in our hospital, and pathological results were used as the gold standard for CT plain scan and MRI exami-nation,respectively.Compared the effectiveness and detection of CT plain scan and MRI in acute ischemic stroke.Result The pathological results of 90 suspected acute ischemic stroke patients showed that a total of 41 cases were positive and 49 cases were negative, with a detection rate of 45.56%.A total of 29 cases were posi-tive and 61 cases were negative in CT plain scan, with a detection rate of 32.22%.A total of 40 cases were posi-tive and 50 cases were negative in MRI examination, with a detection rate of 44.44%.The specificity of CT plain scan and MRI examination in acute ischemic stroke was similar(89.80%vs 97.96%),and the differences were not statistically significant(both P>0.05).The sensitivity(95.12%),accuracy(96.67%),positive predictive value(97.50%),and negative predictive value(96.00%)of MRI examination were all higher than those of CT plain scan(58.54%,75.56%,82.76%,72.13%),and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The use of MRI in the clinical diagnosis of acute ischemic stroke is more effective and has a higher detection rate, which can provide reference information for clinical practice and has high application value.
