Objective To analyze the improvement effect of integrated Chinese and Western Medicine on pulmonary function indexes of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)in stable stage. Methods Clinical data of 80 patients with stable stage COPD treated in Shiyan Yunyang District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to December 2023 were retrospectively selected and divided into two groups according to different treatment methods, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given Western medicine treatment, and the study group was given integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment. The pulmonary function indexes,6-min walking test distance, dyspnea score and inflammation in-dexes of the two groups were compared.Result After treatment, the maximum vital capacity, forced expiratory volume in 1 second, forced expiratory volume in one second/forced vital capacity and peak expiratory flow rate in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the 6-min walking distance of the study group(477.25±33.51)m was greater than that of the control group(422.94±33.56)m,the dyspnea score of the study group(0.80±0.21)points was smaller than that of the control group(1.45±0.22)points,and the differences were statistically significant(t=7.242,13.516,both P<0.05).The levels of tumor necrosis factor-α and interleukin-8 in the study group were lower than those in the control group after treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of Chinese and Western Medicine treatment for stable stage COPD patients can significantly improve lung function indexes and reduce inflammation indexes.
