Objective To evaluate the effect of surgery combined with modified Dahuang Mudan decoction in the treatment of patients with purulent appendicitis.Methods A total of 82 patients with suppurative appen-dicitis admitted to Tengzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital from October 2022 to October 2023 were con-veniently selected as the research objects.They were divided into study group and control group by dice method,with 41 cases in each group.All of them received surgical treatment.The control group was treated with conven-tional postoperative interventions,and the study group was treated with surgery and modified Dahuang Mudan decoction,and the efficacy of the two groups was compared.Results The postoperative recovery time of the study group was shorter than that of the control group,and the incidence of complications was lower than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in white blood cell count and neutrophil percentage between the two groups(both P>0.05).After treatment,the white blood cell count and neutrophil percentage in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion Surgery combined with modified Dahuang Mudan Decoction can significantly improve the recovery of patients with sup-purative appendicitis.
