Objective To analyze the application effect of transurethral plasma prostate enucleation in the surgical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Methods A total of 106 patients with benign prostatic hyper-plasia admitted to the Qiandongnan People's Hospital from January 2019 to January 2024 were retrospectively selected as the research objects.According to the different surgical plans of the patients, they were divided into resection group(transurethral plasmakinetic resection of the prostate)and enucleation group(transurethral plas-makinetic enucleation of the prostate),with 53 cases in each group. The index recovery time, prostate symptom score, maximum urinary flow rate, sexual function index, and incidence of complications were compared be-tween the two groups. Results The operation time(72.62±3.56)min,urinary catheter indwelling time(4.39±1.52)d,bladder irrigation time(14.52±2.62)min and hospitalization time(10.42±2.15)d in the enucleation group were shorter than those in the resection group[(89.56±4.58)min,(6.18±2.45)d,(20.41±3.59)min and(12.52±2.44)d],and the differences were statistically significant(t=22.310,5.148,9.648,4.719,all P<0.001).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in prostate symptom score, maximum urinary flow rate and sexual function between the two groups(all P>0.05).After treatment, the maximum urinary flow rate and sexual function index in the enucleation group were higher than those in the resection group, and the pros-tate symptom score was lower than that in the resection group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Transurethral plasma enucleation of the prostate in patients with prostatic hyperplasia can improve the curative effect and accelerate the recovery of patients after surgery.
