Effects of Modified Tianma Gouteng Decoction Combined with Enalapril Folic Acid Tablet on Blood Pressure Level and Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Score in Patients with Essential Hypertension
Objective To investigate the effects of modified Tianma Guteng Decoction combined with enalapril folic acid tablet on blood pressure level,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score and vertebral ar-tery hemodynamics in patients with essential hypertension.Methods A total of 92 patients with essential hyper-tension admitted to Yidu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2022 to November 2023 were selected as the study objects.By random number table method,they were divided into two groups,46 cases each.The control group received enalapril folic acid tablets,while the observation group was treated with modi-fied Tianma Gouteng decoction.Compared blood pressure levels,traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores,and vertebral artery hemodynamic indices between the two groups.Results After treatment,the blood pressure of both groups decreased,and the mean diastolic blood pressure of the study group was(77.25±2.87)mmHg and systolic blood pressure was(124.50±4.30)mmHg,which were lower than those of the control group(85.74±3.52)mmHg and(131.75±3.91)mmHg,the difference was statistically significant(t=12.678,8.461,both P<0.05).The scores of TCM syndromes such as headache,vertigo and palpitation were decreased in both groups,and the observation group was lower than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(all P<0.05).The vertebral artery hemodynamic indexes of the two groups were improved,and the peak blood flow ve-locity and end-diastolic flow velocity of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the pulsatility index level was lower than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Tianma Guteng Decoction combined and enalapril folic acid tablets in the treat-ment of essential hypertension can more effectively reduce blood pressure and TCM syndrome scores,and opti-mize vertebral artery hemodynamics indicators.
