Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of Chaishao Chengqi Decoction supplemented enema combined with somatostatin on severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).Methods A total of 82 SAP patients ad-mitted in Jinchang People's Hospital from May 2020 to May 2023 were selected as the research objects and di-vided into two groups according to the random number table method,with 41 cases in each group.The control group was treated with somatostatin,and the observation group was treated with modified Chaishao Chengqi de-coction enema on the basis of the control group for 7 days.The clinical efficacy,inflammatory level,intestinal barrier index,gastrointestinal function recovery and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 95.12%,which was higher than 80.49%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.100,P=0.043).After treat-ment,the levels of C-reactive protein,tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin-6,blood amylase,the levels of D-lactic acid,diamine oxidase and endotoxin in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The recovery time of gastrointestinal function in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no obvious adverse reactions in both groups.Conclusion Chaishao Chengqi Decoction supplemented enema combined with somatostatin can improve the curative effect of SAP patients,accelerate the regression of inflammation,reduce intestinal barrier damage,shorten the recovery time of gastrointestinal func-tion,and is safe and reliable.
