Objective To analyze the effect of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of periappendiceal abscess.Methods Sixty patients with periappendiceal abscess treated in Tengzhou Workers'Hospital from January 2022 to July 2023 were selected as the study objects and divided into the study group and the control group by different treatment method,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine treatment,and the research group was treated with traditional Chi-nese medicine decoction on the basis of the control group.Clinical indicators(white blood cell count,neutro-phils,C-reactive protein),symptom improvement(white blood cell recovery time,abdominal pain relief time,high fever resolution time,abscess resolution time,hospital stay time)and treatment effect were compared be-tween the two groups.Results After treatment,all clinical indexes in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The improvement time of symp-toms in the study group was shorter than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P<0.05).The therapeutic effect of the study group(96.67%)was higher than that of the control group(76.67%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.192,P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of inte-grated Chinese and Western medicine treatment in patients with periappendiceal abscess is remarkable,which can promote the improvement of patients'condition and improve the therapeutic effect.
