Objective To study the effect of Shexiang Baoxin Pills combined with atorvastatin on coronary heart disease and its influence on cardiac function.Methods Ninety-six patients with coronary heart disease admitted to Xinghua Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jiangsu Province from May 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the study objects,and they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method,with 48 cases in each group.The control group was treated with atorvastatin,and the observation group was treated with Shexiang Baoxin pills combined with atorvastatin.The therapeutic effect,cardiac function and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group(97.92%)was higher than that of the control group(79.17%),and the dif-ference was statistically significant(χ2=8.316,P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in cardiac function between the two groups(all P>0.05).After treatment,cardiac function improved in both groups,and the left ventricular end-diastolic dimension,left ventricular end-systolic diameter in the observa-tion group were lower than those of control group,and left ventricular ejection fraction was higher than that of control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Shexiang Baoxin Pills com-bined with atorvastatin has better effect in the treatment of coronary heart disease,can improve cardiac function more,and has high safety.
