Objective To explore the effect of acupoint application of Qingjin Huatan Decoction combined with Western medicine on children with bronchial pneumonia.Methods A total of sixty children with bronchial pneumonia admitted to Taizhou Jiangyan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2020 to August 2023 were selected as the study objects.By random number table method,they were divided into Chinese and Western medicine group and Western medicine group,with thirty cases each.The Western medicine group treated with basic Western medicine,and the Chinese and Western medicine group added to acupoint applica-tion combined with Qingjin Huatan Decoction for treatment.The therapeutic effect,traditional Chinese medi-cine syndrome score,symptom disappearance time and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The therapeutic effect of Chinese and Western medicine group(96.67%)was higher than that of Western medicine group(76.67%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.192,P<0.05).The scores of lip smudging,cough,tongue redness,and fever points in the Chinese and Western medicine group were lower than those in the Western medicine group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The disappearance time of symptoms in the Chinese and Western medicine group were shorter than that in the Western medicine group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the Chinese and Western medicine group(6.67%)was lower than that in the Western medi-cine group(26.67%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.320,P<0.05).Conclusion The appli-cation of acupoint application and Qingjin Huatan decoction combined with Western medicine in children with bronchial pneumonia has a good effect.Which not only improves the clinical efficacy,but also reduces the tra-ditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,shortens the time of symptom disappearance and reduces the occur-rence of adverse reactions.
