Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of total glucosides of paeonia combined with methotrexate in the treatment of juvenile idiopathic arthritis(JIA).Methods Clinical data of 88 children with JIA treated in Anhui Children's Hospital from October 2021 to December 2023 were retrospectively selected and divided into two groups with 44 cases in each group according to different treatment methods.The control group was treated with methotrexate,and the combination group was treated with total glucosides of Paeonia and methotrexate.The therapeutic effect of the two groups was compared.Results After treatment,the total effective rate of the combined group(95.45%)was higher than that of the control group(79.54%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.091,P<0.05).After treatment,the level of inflammatory factors in combination group were lower than that in control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in combination group was lower than that in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combined therapy of total glucosides of Paeonia and metho-trexate has shown superior efficacy and safety in the treatment of JIA.can more effectively reduce the level of in-flammatory factors and reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions.
