Objective To investigate the value of procalcitonin(PCT),C-reactive protein(CRP)and inter-leukin-6(IL-6)in predicting infectious fever after orthopedic surgery. Methods Sixty patients with infectious fever after orthopedic surgery admitted to Dongguan Xiegang Hospital from July 2022 to September 2023 were selected as the study group, and sixty healthy people were selected as the control group. The levels of PCT,CRP and IL-6 were compared between the two groups.Receiver operating characteristic curve was used to predict in-fectious fever after orthopedic surgery. Results The levels of PCT,CRP and IL-6 in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The area under curve of PCT,CRP and IL-6 in diagnosing infectious fever after orthopedic surgery were 0.943,0.727 and 0.776,respectively.The sensitivity was 81.25%,62.50%and 75.00%,and the specificity was 97.73%,70.45%and 56.82%,respectively.Conclusion PCT,CRP and IL-6 have certain value in predicting infectious fever af-ter orthopedic surgery, and the sensitivity and specificity of PCT are higher than other inflammatory indicators.
