Objective To explore the diagnostic value of multi-slice spiral CT combined with curved sur-face reconstruction in early acute appendicitis. Methods A total of sixty-six patients suspected of early acute appendicitis in Shuyang Hospital Affiliated to Xuzhou Medical University in Jiangsu Province from January 2019 to August 2023 were selected and treated with emergency surgery.Multi-slice spiral CT combined with curved surface reconstruction was used for preoperative diagnosis to analyze its diagnostic value. Results The sensitivity, accuracy and negative predictive value of CT scan combined with surface reconstruction were 98.08%,96.97%and 92.86%in the diagnosis of acute appendicitis, higher than 76.92%,72.73%,40.00%of simple plain CT scan, and the differences were statistically significant(χ2=10.637,15.086,7.633,all P<0.05).The coincidence rate of pathological signs such as periappendiceal abscess, appendiceal wall enhancement de-fect,periappendiceal cellulitis, appendiceal effusion and appendiceal calculi in CT plain scan combined with curved surface reconstruction were higher than those of CT plain scan, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion CT combined curved surface reconstruction has a significant effect on early detection of acute appendicitis, and the signs are significant.
