Objective To evaluate the application value of transthoracic echocardiography in screening for neonatal patent foramen ovale disease.Methods A total of 100 suspected neonatal patent foramen ovale cases were selected admitted to Yixing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2019 to May 2023 were se-lected as the study objects.Transthoracic echocardiography screening was performed,and clinical comprehen-sive diagnosis results were used as the gold standard.Analysis and diagnosis efficiency.Results By comprehen-sive clinical diagnosis,82 cases(82.00%)were positive for patent foramen ovale.By transthoracic echocardiog-raphy,81 positive cases were detected,accounting for 81.00%.The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of trans-thoracic echocardiography were 98.78%,100.00%,99.00%,and kappa value was 0.967.Conclusion Transtho-racic echocardiography has high accuracy,sensitivity and specificity in screening for neonatal patent foramen ovale disease.
