Objective To explore the clinical value of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)in the diagnosis of patients with cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 70 patients with suspected cerebral infarction admitted to the Fourth Division Hospital of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps from May 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the research objects. All patients underwent CT and MRI examinations at the same time.Digi-tal subtraction angiography was used as the gold standard to compare the diagnostic efficacy of CT and MRI ex-aminations.Results The results of digital subtraction angiography showed that 63 patients were diagnosed with cerebral infarction. The detection rate of MRI in patients with suspected cerebral infarction was 88.57%,and the detection rate of CT in patients with suspected cerebral infarction was 80.00%.The sensitivity, specificity and negative predictive value of MRI were higher than those of CT,and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P<0.05).The accuracy of MRI examination was 95.71%,which was higher than that of CT examination(75.71%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=10.390,P<0.05).Conclusion The application of MRI in patients with cerebral infarction has a high guiding value for the judgment and evaluation of the disease, and is of great significance for ensuring the health and prognosis of patients.
