Clinical Effects and Safety of Qingfei Decoction Combined with Western Anti-infective Drugs in the Treatment of Elderly Patients with Chronic Pneumonia
Objective To explore the clinical effects and safety of Qingfei Decoction+Western anti-infective drugs in the treatment of elderly patients with chronic pneumonia.Methods Eighty-eight cases of el-derly patients with chronic pneumonia admitted to Zaozhuang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2018 to March 2021 were selected as the study subjects,and were divided into two groups of 44 cases each based on different treatment methods.The control group was treated with Western anti-infection therapy,and the study group was treated with Qingfei Decoction combined with Western anti-infective drugs.The two groups were compared in terms of total effective rate of treatment,disease recurrence rate,level of lung function indexes(maximal peak expiratory flow rate,maximal ventilation,lung capacity),level of inflammatory response-related factors(C-reactive protein,interleukin-6,serum endostatin),and the occurrence of adverse reactions.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was 95.45%(42/44),which was higher than 75.00%(33/44)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=7.310,P＜0.05).The re-currence rate of the study group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(P＜0.05).After Treatment,the levels of maximal peak expiratory flow rate,maximal ventilation,and lung capactity were higher in the study group than in the control group,and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(all P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of C-reactive protein,interleukin-6 and serum lactone in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P＜0.05).During the treatment,there were no serious adverse reactions in the two groups.Conclusion The com-bined application of Qingfei Decoction and Western anti-infective drugs can enhance the therapeutic effect of Elderly patients with chronic pneumonia,reduce the recurrence rate of the disease,improve the inflammatory re-sponse and lung function,with a high degree of safety.
