Objective To explore the effect of periodontitis patients treated with Xinhuang Tablet+mino-cycline hydrochloride ointment.Methods A total of 76 cases of periodontitis patients admitted to Weifang Sec-ond People's Hospital from July 2021 to July 2022 were selected as the study object,and were divided into two groups of 38 cases each by different treatment methods.Group A was treated with minocycline hydrochloride ointment,group B was treated on the basis of group A treatment+Xinhuang Tablet,and the treatment time of all patients was 4 weeks.Compared the clinical efficacy,periodontal indexes and occurrence of adverse reactions between the two groups.Results After treatment,the total incidence rate of adverse reactions in the two groups was compared,and the difference was not statistically significant(P＞0.05).Compared with the pre-treatment,after treatment,the gingival sulcus bleeding index,gingival index and plaque index scores of the two groups de-creased,and the scores of all indexes in group B were lower than those in group A,and the differences were sta-tistically significant(all P＜0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in group B was 94.74%(36/38),which was higher than 73.68%(28/38)in the group A,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=6.333,P＜0.05).Conclusion Periodontitis patients can improve their periodontal indexes by adopting the treatment of Xinhuang Tablet+minocycline hydrochloride ointment with remarkable efficacy and without increasing the risk of ad-verse reactions.
