Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of adjunctive application of Xiangju Capsule on pa-tients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps after nasal endoscopy.Methods The clinical data of 86 pa-tients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps admitted to Shanghe County People's Hospital from May 2021 to June 2022 were retrospectively selected and divided into two groups of 43 patients each according to dif-ferent treatment methods.The control group was treated with nasal endoscopic surgery,and the study group was treated with the adjunctive application of Xiangju Capsule on the basis of the control group.The clinical effi-cacy,nasal ventilation function indexes,olfactory function score,nasal endoscopic Lund-Kennedy score,in-flammation index level and recurrence rate of the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was 95.35%(41/43),whic was higher than 81.40%(35/43)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.074,P＜0.05).After treatment,the degree of improvement of nasal ventilation function indexes such as nasal cavity volume,nasal airway resistance,minimal cross-sectional area,interleukin-2,interleukin-6,C-reactive protein levels,as well as olfactory function and the na-sal endoscopic Lund-Kennedy score of the study group were significantly better than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P＜0.05).The recurrence rate of the study group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Adjunctive application of Xiangju Capsule in the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps after nasal endoscopy can improve the clinical efficacy,improve the nasal ventilation function and olfactory function,reduce the in-flammatory response of the nose,and reduce the recurrence rate.
