Objective To analyze the curative effect of fixed appliance and inclined guide combined with correction of ANSI Class Ⅱ 1 classification malocclusion. Methods Ninety-nine patients with ANSI Class Ⅱ 1 classification malocclusion admitted to the stomatology department of Xinyi People's Hospital from October 2020 to October 2023 were selected as the study objects and divided into two groups by envelope method:con-trol group(n=45,fixed appliance)and observation group(n=54,fixed appliance combined with inclined guide plate). The treatment(tooth arrangement, posterior marginal ridge height, root inclination),model measurement(overbite, overjet)of the two groups were compared. Results Before treatment, there was no significant differ-ence in scores and model measurements between the two groups(all P>0.05).After treatment, the tooth arrange-ment,posterior edge ridge height, root slope score, overlay and covering values in both groups were lower than before treatment. The scores of tooth arrangement, the ridge height at the posterior edge of the teeth and the tooth slope in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statisti-cally significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the model measurement between groups showed that the coverage value of observation group was lower than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The effective rate of the observation group(98.15%)(53/54)was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(86.67%)(39/45)(χ2=4.924,P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of fixed appliance and inclined guide in the treatment of ANSI class Ⅱ 1 classificantion malocclusion malocclu-sion patients has better treatment effect, and the clinical effect is more significant while the coverage relation-ship is improved.
