Objective To analyze the value of head and neck CT angiography(CTA)for early diagnosis of acute ischemic stroke patients and the accuracy of this diagnostic method. Methods Seventy-seven patients with suspected acute ischemic stroke admitted to Suining County People's Hospital from February 2020 to Sep-tember 2023 were selected as the study subjects, and CT scanning and head and neck CTA were carried out on the patients, and the clinical diagnosis results were used as the gold standard for reference, and the diagnostic results of the different examination methods were compared. Results Seventy-seven patients with suspected acute ischemic stroke were diagnosed clinically in 75 cases,69 cases were detected positively and 8 cases were detected negatively in CT scanning diagnosis, and 75 cases were diagnosed positively and 2 cases were detected negatively in head and neck CTA diagnosis. The accuracy[97.40%(75/77)]and sensitivity[98.67%(74/75)]of head and neck CTA were higher than that of CT scanning[89.61%(69/77),90.67%(68/75)],and the differences were statistically significant(χ2=5.240,6.470,both P<0.05).The specificity of CTA and CT scanning was com-pared,and the difference was statistically significant(P>0.05).The diagnosis of head and neck CTA showed mild stenosis in 21 cases, moderate stenosis in 28 cases, and severe stenosis in 25 cases, with a diagnostic com-pliance rate of 98.67%,and the diagnosis of CT scanning showed mild stenosis in 19 cases, moderate stenosis in 26 cases, and severe stenosis in 23 cases, with a diagnostic compliance rate of 90.67%,compared between the two groups, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=6.470,P=0.011).Conclusion The value of neck CTA in the early diagnosis of acute ischemic stroke is obvious, with good accuracy, can reduce the interference generated by adverse factors in the diagnostic process, timely access to accurate information, and provide refer-ence for the diagnosis of patient's disease.
