Experimental study on soil element geochemical exploration method of Zaohuohao sandstone type uranium deposit in Ordos basin
In order to study the indicative ability of surface elements to the ore bodies or mineralization of sandstone-type uranium deposits in the basin,a trace test of geochemical exploration was carried out in Zaohuohao sandstone-type uranium deposit in northeastern Ordos basin. The main prospecting indicator elements of the sandstone-type uranium deposits are Sc,Cu,Pb,Th,V,Cr,Zn,U,Ti,Fe,Nb,Zr,Hf,and the rare earth elements La,Ce,Pr,Nd,Sm and other. The test result showed that indicator elements have different distribution characteristics at the surface positions corresponding to different geochemical zoning of the ore body, and there are obvious anomalies above the uranium mineralization position, and the anomaly contrast is between 1.52 and 3.30.Therefore the soil trace elements and rare earth elements have an indicative effect on the concealed sandstone-type uranium ore body, and the abnormal combination of indicative elements can be used for the prospecting and exploration of sandstone-type uranium deposits in the basin.
