Distribution of uranium ore bodies and occurrences characteristics of uranium minerals in Manglai section of Bayanwula uranium deposit
The Bayanwula uranium deposit is the first sandstone-type uranium deposit developed in the Erlian basin, and in recent years,a major breakthrough has been made in the search for ground-leachable sandstone-type uranium deposits in the western part of the Bayanwula uranium deposit.Based on the analysis of the geological and hydrogeological characteristics of Bayanwula uranium deposit, the distribution of uranium ore body and uranium mineral occurrence characteristics in the Manglai section of the deposit were studied. The results show that the sand body of the mineral-bearing aquifer in the Manglai section is relatively stable, with a stable waterproof roof and floor, and the ore body is located in the braided fluvial sedimentary sand body in the upper and lower part of the Saihan formation, and the overall east-west spread is plate-like,with good continuity. The ore body has a shallow burial depth, and the amount of uranium and uranium grade per square meter are generally stable. The existence forms of uranium are uranium minerals, adsorbed uranium and uranium-containing minerals, and uranium minerals are the mainstay, uranium minerals are mainly uranium phosphate minerals and bituminous uranium ore,and occasionally uranium stone, thorium, etc.,these characteristics are very favorable for ground leaching development.
