Deep geological structure features and prediction of uranium mineralization in Heyuanbei belt No.8,west of Xiangshan field
The western part of Xiangshan uranium ore field is characterized by the well development of the north-east and north-west striking faults which form a number of rhombic fracture blocks. The belt No.8 is located in the rhombic fault blocks of Heyuanbei, which is believed with good metallogenic geological conditions and a small deposit was discovered after several rounds of uranium geological exploration. However, the depth exploration in this area has indicated that the good uranium mineralization and great prospecting potential still occurs in the deep part.In order to find out the deep geological structure characteristics and favorable prospecting position of uranium mineralization enrichment law of the belt No.8 of Heyuanbei,a three-dimensional geological model below-1 000 m was constructed based on GOCAD 3D software platform.Through the 3D model, the deep spatial morphology and extension of the structure, strata and concealed pluton were roughly identified, and their spatial relationship to the uranium ore bodies was identified, and the spatial localization conditions of the uranium ore bodies were determined.According to the spatial localization conditions of the uranium ore bodies, one favorable sites for uranium metallization were predicted and circled in the model to provide a basis for the design of uranium exploration drilling efforts.Since the uranium mineralization in the western part of Xiangshan ore field is closely related to the interface of volcanic rocks and structure interfaces, the three-dimensional mineralization prediction method can applied to other exploration areas in the western part of Xiangshan ore field,to guide the design of exploration and drilling engineering.
